# Group 1 Automotive

> **Demonstration provenance.** This record is a **public-source demonstration** assembled by Encoded Brands from project-supplied materials and public research. **Group 1 Automotive has not reviewed or endorsed it.** Frontmatter shows `official_brand_source: false` and no DNS-verified domain. Project ownership is not Group 1 corporate ownership, domain verification, approval, or endorsement. Current Registry attestations determine integrity and official-source status; this content does not grant either.

## Package map

**What this file is.** Brand Context Protocol (BCP) package for **Group 1 Automotive**: structured public brand context hosted at a stable Registry URL. Encoded Brands authored BCP and runs the Registry. Encoder is a compiler / on-ramp for portable packages, not a content generator.

**Why teams use this.** Encode your brand once, use it everywhere, update as often as you like. Every AI tool, agent, teammate, and agency reads the same brief instead of reinventing guidelines per chat. Better content, fewer rounds of revisions, faster speed to quality output, and less re-pasted context (tokens). Connect compatible tools via URL or MCP. Registry Certified adds named audit of authenticated gated access, control over who can receive it, and proof of what was live.

**Provenance.** This record is a **public-source demonstration** assembled by Encoded. **Group 1 Automotive has not reviewed or endorsed it** unless frontmatter shows otherwise (`official_brand_source`, DNS verification).

**Stable URLs**

| Resource | URL |
| --- | --- |
| This package root | `https://registry.brandcontextprotocol.dev/group-1-automotive-71fd2a84/.well-known/brand.md` |
| Registry MCP for `group-1-automotive-71fd2a84` | `https://registry.brandcontextprotocol.dev/mcp` |
| Companion map (MCP, IT copy, Trust) | `/.well-known/brand/onboarding.md` |
| Example page (if live) | `https://encodedbrands.ai/examples/group-1-automotive` |
| Encoded Trust Center | https://encodedbrands.ai/trust |

**What’s in the package.** Daughter files listed in frontmatter `daughter_files` (voice, visual, claims, boundaries, and related). Claims and boundaries are the evidence and hard-limit surfaces for this brand’s public context.

**MCP (optional permanence).** Custom MCP connectors are often plan- and admin-gated on team / enterprise AI accounts. Grayed-out “Add connector” usually means an admin permission wall, not a bad URL. Connector FAQ and sample IT email live in `onboarding.md`. Encoded does not claim native integration with every LLM vendor.

**Public by design.** Public BCP files stay public. Secrets do not belong in a public package.

**After claim + DNS verify.** Demonstration pitch is replaced with a short functional map (what the package is, daughter index, MCP URL) with accurate provenance.

Group 1 helps people choose, buy, and care for vehicles through its dealership brands and local markets. Its customer-facing role is to make the next decision clearer and easier, with confidence grounded in useful guidance rather than pressure. The voice playbook describes the Hero as the brand's role and the Sage as how it follows through: progress supported by expertise. The customer is the person moving forward, not an audience for Group 1's corporate achievements. [V: Who We Are; Our Voice]

## Brand architecture and context

This package distinguishes the group, a geographic cluster, a dealership, and an individual advisor. Those speakers are not interchangeable. Group 1 Automotive Houston is the cluster-level retail speaker for the accompanying example, serving Houston shoppers considering vehicles. It is not an investor-relations message and does not represent any one dealership's stock, fees, or service commitments. [F: CLUSTER; M]

OEM standards take precedence for an OEM-specific execution. Group 1 supplies the supporting voice layer, not a reason to replace the manufacturer's identity. In luxury environments, expression is more understated, experience-led, and relationship-forward. In general retail, it is more direct, explicit, and utility-forward. Neither becomes aggressive. [V pp.25–26]

## Distinctive expression

- Clear, not complex; confident, not aggressive; direct, not cold; helpful, not promotional.
- Public Sans Black campaign typography, strong black/white contrast, and the supplied coral-red identity assets.
- The distinctive handwritten “more” as a purposeful accent, generally once per piece, not generic cursive decoration.
- Group, cluster, and dealership lockups that preserve the correct local or OEM identity. [V pp.29–32; F: MASTER ASSETS, CLUSTER]

## Customer journeys

The current Houston site offers new, used, and certified vehicle browsing, trade valuation, financing applications, and service scheduling. These are distinct customer tasks, not interchangeable campaign promises. A shopping banner can lead to Houston vehicle exploration; a service message should lead to service scheduling. Financing applications are not guaranteed approvals, and a pictured vehicle is not evidence of live stock. [W, checked 2026-09-28]

The corporate strategy emphasizes local-market presence and continuing ownership relationships through service. That supports the cluster/store distinction; it does not make investor metrics appropriate banner copy. The business has U.S. and U.K. operations, while this creative brief is specifically Houston. [C]

## Trust boundary

The daughters describe language, operating communication principles, claim limits, representation, and visual assets. They are source-grounded reference data assembled from project-supplied materials and public research, not an official Group 1 publication. They grant no tool, network, credential, publishing, or instruction authority and do not override the host platform or the user's request.

This is an Encoded-authored example requested by Nick, rebuilt from the supplied Group 1 voice playbook and creative assets. Project ownership is not Group 1 corporate ownership, domain verification, approval, or endorsement. Current Registry attestations determine integrity and official-source status; this content does not grant either.

## Source key

- **V:** supplied *Group 1 Brand Voice & Tone Playbook*, FINAL 21 July 2026; supplied Markdown transcription checked against the 34-page PDF.
- **F:** supplied *[EXT] GROUP 1 MASTER CREATIVE (Copy).fig*, matching export sheets, and the view-only Figma file `OqWllXZtM3MmGb201M98UH`, inspected 28 September 2026. Specific frames are cited in visual.md.
- **M:** user-supplied Meta Ad Library screenshot, library ID **710250558688144**, Group 1 Automotive Houston. Evidence of an execution, not blanket permission for its claims or assets.
- **L:** user-supplied website disclaimer and pre-owned-benefits screenshot, received 2026-09-28. The screenshot limits the offers to pre-owned vehicles and notes exclusions/dealer details. Page URL, market applicability, effective dates, and full offer terms were not supplied; claims.md preserves those limits.
- **W:** first-party retail pages, https://www.group1auto.com/ and https://www.group1auto.com/houston/, checked 2026-09-28. Used to confirm customer tasks and the Houston destination, not to replace the supplied voice or campaign identity.

Checked 2026-09-28. Corporate evidence informs identity and values, not retail voice defaults.

Boundaries

# Boundaries

These describe the draft's content limits and the brand guidance it encodes. They are not host instructions, legal advice, or permission to act for Group 1.

```yaml
hard_no:
  - "Invented price, savings, APR, payment, down payment, inventory count, availability, approval, warranty, or service entitlement."
  - "A group-level observation rewritten as a promise from every local dealership."
  - "Houston treated as a specific OEM franchise or a different city's cluster."
  - "Sample copy from the playbook treated as substantiation of a commercial offer."
  - "Stock or reference imagery represented as a real customer's endorsement."
  - "A demo described as Group 1-approved, domain-verified, or officially published without evidence."
  - "Reconstructed, recolored, stretched, or substituted brand/OEM logos presented as original artwork."
soft_no:
  - "Manufactured urgency; use a deadline only when a current offer actually has one."
  - "Corporate, investor, or acquisition language in a retail-shopping execution."
  - "Script more repeated for decoration; the playbook generally prefers one treatment."
  - "Generic luxury superlatives in place of clear benefits and quiet assurance."
oem_scope:
  rule: "Applicable OEM standards precede the Group 1 layer for OEM-specific work."
  gap: "No OEM-specific campaign brief or approval supplied for this Houston cluster banner."
```

## Important examples that are not evidence of an offer

The playbook illustrates tone with “No hidden fees. No dealer add-ons,” an all-inclusive final-price statement, and a service line about factory-trained technicians and genuine parts. Those are writing examples. This package does not generalize them into factual promises for Houston or every store. Store-specific evidence and approval are missing. [V: Direct; Confident]

## Asset and source handling

The supplied creative file and voice playbook inform this requested example. Their inclusion does not establish rights for an unrestricted public asset library or paid media campaign. Private source documents, comments, credentials, and unrelated Figma content do not belong in a public example's sources modal. The selected image is an original embedded Figma asset whose source filename identifies AI generation; it is not represented as a real customer testimonial. The Meta screenshot is a reference, not the output photograph.

## Retail disclosure constraints from supplied website copy

Source L is observed disclaimer language, not a legal opinion or proof that the same terms apply at every store.

```yaml
pricing:
  excluded_unless_itemized: [state_tax, title, registration_fees, smog_fee]
  additional_financing_fees: "May apply; do not represent the displayed vehicle price as the final financed total."
  included_offers: "Applicable dealer offers and manufacturer incentives, according to the supplied disclaimer."
  conditional_offers: "Excluded from the displayed vehicle price; qualification varies and is determined by the dealership."
  content_limit: "No all-in, every-buyer, or universally eligible price claim based on a displayed figure alone."
vehicle_images:
  status: "Illustration only in the supplied disclaimer."
  content_limit: "No inference of exact equipment, current stock, or customer endorsement from the image."
pre_owned_offers:
  limited_warranty: "30 day / 1,000 mile limited warranty"
  exchange: "3 day / 250 mile exchange"
  scope: "Pre-owned vehicles only; some exclusions may apply; see dealer for details."
  content_limit: "No refund, money-back, unrestricted return, full warranty, or new-vehicle entitlement inferred."
  unresolved: "Participating stores, eligible vehicles, start point, time/mileage interaction, exclusions, and effective dates."
```

The disclaimer places final sale terms in executed sales documents and warns that website information may contain errors. This package therefore treats website copy as evidence to verify, not as the final transaction contract. Its liability language is not copied into an independent banner as though Encoded could grant or waive legal rights. Fuel-economy figures, if introduced later, need the correct vehicle/year and source; a general link to the EPA/DOE guide is not evidence of a specific vehicle's rating.

## Before a real campaign

Confirm destination, market, applicable OEMs, current offer evidence, asset rights, and brand review. This banner is not automatically approved merely because its BCP is structurally valid. No account action, ad placement, publication, or Registry ownership change is authorized by the package.

Claims

# Claims and evidence

Evidence of published wording is not evidence that a comparative or transactional claim is true. The statuses below separate source wording, draft copy, and substantiated offers. None represents Group 1's approval of this package.

| Statement | Evidence | Status and permitted interpretation |
|---|---|---|
| Clear, confident, direct, helpful voice | V: Our Voice | Documented communication preference, not a performance claim. |
| OEM standards come first for OEM-specific work | V pp.25,28 | Documented hierarchy. |
| Group 1 Automotive Houston is the speaker in the reference ad | M, library ID 710250558688144 | Observed screenshot attribution; not live account verification. |
| “A better way to buy, built around you.” | M | Observed creative line; subjective brand framing, not a measured superiority result. |
| “get more with GROUP 1” | F: MASTER ASSETS; supplied SVG | Supplied identity/campaign artwork, not proof of a quantitative advantage. |
| “Houston's Choice for Luxury” | M | Observed ad title only. Not evidence of market leadership, a survey, or consumer preference ranking. Not reused as a factual headline. |
| “Your next car. Your kind of luxury.” | New draft | Proposed banner headline applying V pp.25–26; not a source quote or approved tagline. |
| “Explore the possibilities with Group 1 Houston.” | New draft | Proposed invitation; makes no stock, price, or availability promise. |
| Houston offers vehicle browsing, trade valuation, financing applications, and service scheduling | W: https://www.group1auto.com/houston/, checked 2026-09-28 | Confirmed navigation/tasks on the first-party page. Not a guarantee of approval, an offer, a response time, or stock. Recheck before campaign launch. |

## Not cleared by these sources

- No hidden fees or dealer add-ons; all-inclusive final pricing.
- All service staff factory-trained; genuine parts on every visit.
- Hundreds of available vehicles in Houston today.
- Lowest prices, largest selection, best service, or guaranteed approval.
- Current specific make/model availability, promotional APR, discount, or payment.
- Corporate scale, revenue, growth, or store counts carried over from the old BCP without current checking.

Some appear as sample language in V, or promotional wording in F/M. That supports a voice or composition observation, not a verified offer. A publishable offer needs an accountable source, market, date, conditions, and owner review.

## Banner claim budget

The accompanying banner carries a qualitative invitation, a source-observed campaign line, a local cluster identity, and a shopping CTA. It contains no price, count, deadline, endorsement, or financing promise. The photograph illustrates a moment; it is not represented as testimonial evidence. The commercial destination from M was confirmed against the live first-party Houston page on 2026-09-28; it remains subject to preflight before real use.

## Observed pre-owned offers and their qualifications

Source L: screenshot and disclaimer supplied by Nick on 2026-09-28. These are usable evidence of the wording shown, but the source page, market, effective dates, and full terms remain unverified. They are not cleared as Houston-wide promises or added to the current luxury banner.

| Observed wording | Status | Qualification that travels with the claim | Meaning that must not be added |
|---|---|---|---|
| Market-based pricing | Requires caveat and scope confirmation | Shown in a pre-owned promotion; no methodology supplied. | Lowest price, below-market price, or guaranteed savings. |
| 30 day / 1,000 mile limited warranty | Requires caveat and scope confirmation | Pre-owned vehicles only. Some exclusions may apply; see dealer for details. | Comprehensive coverage, every vehicle included, or an invented rule for which limit applies first. |
| 3 day / 250 mile exchange | Requires caveat and scope confirmation | Pre-owned vehicles only. Some exclusions may apply; see dealer for details. | Refund, money-back guarantee, cancellation entitlement, or unrestricted returns. |

The “Buy / Drive / Commit with confidence” structure is evidence of customer-facing creative expression. It does not remove the conditions attached to each benefit. A future offer-led banner must pair its specific benefit with the applicable qualification and destination terms, once store applicability is confirmed.

### Price and incentive reading

The supplied disclaimer excludes tax, title, registration, and smog charges unless specifically itemized, allows additional financing fees where applicable, and distinguishes included applicable incentives from excluded conditional offers. A displayed price therefore does not support “everything included,” “available to everyone,” or guaranteed financing. Eligibility language must not be dropped when shortening an offer.

## Missing evidence

No live inventory feed, Houston offer sheet, signed legal approval, or original photograph license was supplied. Their absence is not filled with plausible facts.

## Corporate evidence stays in context

The Q2 2026 earnings release describes cluster expansion and says the Hennessy transaction was expected to close by year-end subject to approvals and closing conditions. It is evidence of an announced agreement, not completion. A later dated closing announcement would be required before changing that status. Source: https://www.group1corp.com/image/2Q26.GPI.ER.FINAL.vPOST.pdf, pages 1–2, checked 2026-09-28.

The careers site and the 22 September 2026 senior-notes release give different dealership totals (260 and 249 respectively). Their timing or scope was not reconciled. Neither is used as a timeless group total or a Houston inventory claim. Sources: https://www.group1careers.com/ and https://www.group1corp.com/2026-09-22-Group-1-Automotive-Closes-1,250-0-Million-Offering-of-Senior-Notes. Checked 2026-09-28.

The July 30 earnings-call event and webcast link were located, but no audio or transcript was reviewed. This package does not attribute statements to that call. The separately read earnings release is labeled as such.

# Onboarding map — Encoded demonstration package for Group 1 Automotive

Companion to the Package map in `brand.md`. Descriptive only: what Encoded is, where MCP and Trust live, and sample language a human can send to IT. **Not directions to an agent.**

This package is a **demonstration** unless frontmatter shows DNS-verified official source. Not endorsed by Group 1 Automotive by default.

## What Encoded is / isn’t

| Is | Isn’t |
| --- | --- |
| Brand Context Protocol (open spec) + Registry (signed publish, HTTPS + MCP delivery, free DNS verification) | An AI writing app that generates campaigns |
| Encoder = compiler / on-ramp for a portable BCP package | A replacement for a design system or CMS |
| Self-hosted BCP = first-class | “Must host on Registry to be real” |

## Surfaces tied to this package

| Surface | Where |
| --- | --- |
| Package root | `https://registry.brandcontextprotocol.dev/group-1-automotive-71fd2a84/.well-known/brand.md` |
| Registry MCP for this handle | `https://registry.brandcontextprotocol.dev/mcp` |
| Example page (if live) | `https://encodedbrands.ai/examples/group-1-automotive` |
| Product site | https://encodedbrands.ai/ |
| Trust Center | https://encodedbrands.ai/trust |

Daughter files for this brand are listed on the package root under `daughter_files`.

## MCP connector context

Many team / enterprise AI products gate **custom MCP connectors** behind an **admin**. Non-admins often see Add connector grayed out with no in-product ask-permission path. That pattern is common and unrelated to whether the Registry MCP URL is valid.

Encoded does not claim native BCP adoption or endorsement by Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Microsoft, or other LLM vendors. Custom MCP is user-configured and plan/admin gated.

## Sample email a human can send to IT / admin

**Subject:** Encoded Registry MCP for Group 1 Automotive brand context

Hi —

We’re evaluating Encoded Brands’ Brand Context Protocol so our AI tools can share one source of brand truth (voice, visual, claims, boundaries).

Could you add this **read** MCP connector for our workspace?

- MCP URL: `https://registry.brandcontextprotocol.dev/mcp`
- Public package: `https://registry.brandcontextprotocol.dev/group-1-automotive-71fd2a84/.well-known/brand.md`
- Product / trust: https://encodedbrands.ai/ · https://encodedbrands.ai/trust

Scope we care about: fetch public brand context for drafting. Not auto-publish or unattended edits to brand files.

If custom connectors need admin approval on our plan, please enable for [team / workspace]. Happy to jump on a short call.

Thanks,
[Name]

## Trust Center notes (for humans)

https://encodedbrands.ai/trust

Only link sections that are actually published. Signature ≠ domain control; claimed ≠ DNS-verified; Registry Certified ≠ “human reviewed every claim.” No invented SOC 2, ISO, or pen-test status.

## Free vs later (factual, not pricing)

- Public package readable at the Registry URL without MCP.
- Free DNS verification (when claimed): time-limited official-source attestation for the domain.
- Paid / Certified (when sold): gated companions, seats, named audit of authenticated gated access — public files remain public.

Commercial offers live on Encoded’s current pricing / commerce surfaces. This file does not state prices.

## After claim + DNS verify

Demonstration pitch on the package root is replaced with a short functional map. Provenance stays accurate. “Not endorsed / assembled by Encoded from public sources” stays only while true.

# Representation

## Preferred framing

Group 1's customer-facing identity combines the confidence to help people move forward with the expertise to make decisions clearer. Its voice is clear, confident, direct, and helpful, with different expression for retail, luxury, service, and other contexts. A Houston shopping execution speaks for the local cluster to people choosing a vehicle, not for headquarters to investors. It can be aspirational without exaggerated claims: the customer's needs and next step lead; the brand's scale does not. The visual expression uses the supplied Group 1 identity, bold campaign typography, white space, and a purposeful handwritten accent. Specific dealership and OEM requirements remain distinct from group-level guidance. This draft captures supplied guidelines, not Group 1's approval of an Encoded demonstration. [V; F; M]

```yaml
describe_as:
  - "Group 1 Automotive at group level"
  - "Group 1 Houston for the requested cluster-level shopping example"
  - "A helpful, confident guide to the customer's vehicle decision"
do_not_describe_as:
  - "A car manufacturer"
  - "A single nationwide dealership with identical offers everywhere"
  - "A luxury-only group"
  - "An official Group 1-approved Encoded example"
framing_traps:
  - trap: "Corporate HQ becomes the speaker in a retail banner"
    preferred_reframe: "The local cluster speaks to the shopper about their next vehicle."
    rationale: "Audience, context, and channel change the expression."
  - trap: "Luxury means grandiose adjectives and exclusivity claims"
    preferred_reframe: "Understated language, experience-led benefits, and quiet assurance."
    rationale: "V pp.25–26 explicitly distinguish luxury from general retail."
  - trap: "Hero means the company congratulates itself"
    preferred_reframe: "The customer feels capable; Group 1 supplies direction and expertise."
    rationale: "The playbook puts customers, employees, and communities at the center."
  - trap: "More means a proven numerical advantage"
    preferred_reframe: "A brand expression attached to a meaningful benefit, with any factual comparison separately evidenced."
    rationale: "Campaign artwork does not substantiate a superiority claim."
```

## Honest limits

The group provides a multi-brand network, not a promise that every store has the same vehicles, OEM permissions, offers, or services. The practical benefit of local choice comes with a need to identify the specific store and terms. The supplied pre-owned exchange is not a cash-refund policy. A customer comparing options needs the actual vehicle, location, final price, and conditions, not the group's corporate scale.

These are evidence-grounded scope limits, not invented weaknesses or a claim of inferior service. No comparative service-quality study, customer preference ranking, or approved competitor analogy has been established. The playbook describes intended communication; it does not independently measure customer outcomes.

# Values and communication decisions

## Published core values

Group 1 names five values on its careers site and corporate footer. These are stated commitments, not proof that every interaction meets them. Source: https://www.group1careers.com/, “GROUP 1 CORE VALUES,” checked 2026-09-28.

| Stated value | Source meaning, paraphrased | Application to generated communications |
|---|---|---|
| Integrity | Ethical conduct and honesty in selling and servicing. | An attractive offer cannot omit a material condition. |
| Transparency | Open, honest communication with customers and colleagues. | State what is known, conditional, and not yet confirmed. |
| Professionalism | High standards and a drive to exceed expectations. | Check the market, destination, and asset before release. |
| Teamwork | Collective success ahead of individual interests. | Keep the customer handoff clear across sales and service. |
| Respect | Dignity and equality for customers and colleagues. | Avoid condescension or status judgments about a shopper's budget. |

The last column is this encoding's practical interpretation, not a claim of new operational policies. No published ranking between the five values was established.

## Community expression

Group 1 Cares identifies support for military/veteran/first-responder communities, education, poverty and food insecurity, and environmental sustainability. Its stories identify local stores and people. Source: https://www.group1cares.com/, checked 2026-09-28. In community copy, identify the actual local action and recipient; do not invent a donation amount or make one store's activity a group-wide pledge. This fits the playbook's participation-led community tone.

## Communication principles from the supplied playbook

The following decision rules interpret the supplied voice guidance. They complement the published values, rather than replacing them with a newly invented charter.

## Make the customer the protagonist

Group 1's Hero/Sage framework combines forward movement with useful expertise. The result should help the customer feel capable, confident, informed, and ready to act. In a shopping banner, the headline is about their next vehicle or decision, not the group's size. [V: Who We Are]

**Trade-off:** when corporate prestige competes with a clear shopping benefit, the benefit gets the limited banner space.

## Clarity earns confidence

Clear information and explicit next steps remove friction. An emotionally appealing headline does not excuse ambiguous pricing, an unexplained condition, or a misleading CTA. [V: Clear; Direct; Sales & Conversion]

**Trade-off:** a material qualification stays visible even if removing it would make an offer look cleaner. Where there is no validated offer, the example uses an invitation rather than invented numbers.

## Guidance over pressure

The playbook's confidence is calm and informed, not aggressive. Helpful communication supports needs and choices instead of pushing self-serving messages. [V: Confident; Helpful]

**Trade-off:** omit unsupported urgency, guaranteed approval, or a “best” claim even if it would make the ad louder. An actual deadline may be stated accurately; pressure is not fabricated to fill a space.

## One voice, appropriate expression

Retail, luxury, service, community, and internal communications retain the four attributes but change emphasis. Applicable OEM identity comes first. [V pp.19–26]

**Trade-off:** keep a luxury execution restrained rather than forcing every local campaign into the same promotional rhythm. Keep a service message reassuring rather than recycling a sales CTA.

## Meaning before decoration

The “more” asset earns its place by emphasizing something meaningful. It is not repeated solely because it is distinctive. [V p.32]

**Trade-off:** a single purposeful use is preferred to a decorative stack. The exact creative choice remains reviewable.

## Draft conflict resolution

For this example: factual accuracy and applicable OEM requirements first; audience usefulness next; appropriate voice and visual fidelity next; decorative preference last. This order is the producer's review rule, derived from the sources, not a claim that Group 1 has adopted a new corporate hierarchy.

# Visual identity

This encodes the supplied Group 1 creative system, not Encoded Brands' UI. Evidence consists of the supplied original exports, read-only inspection of the matching Figma file, and decoded source nodes from the supplied .fig archive. The archive contains 217 distinct embedded image assets mapped to their original nodes. A file's presence does not establish campaign approval or licensing. Uninspected properties are not guessed.

## Verifiable design sources

- Figma file: `https://www.figma.com/design/OqWllXZtM3MmGb201M98UH/`
- MASTER ASSETS page: `4002:234`, matching supplied Logo & Lockups, Cluster & Dealership, Photography - Jelly Beans, and get more with GP1 exports.
- CLUSTER page: `10024:10610`; billboard layout frame `10036:2055`; storyboard frame `10047:24874`.
- Text layer `10024:12010`, “get more with”: Properties panel shows Public Sans, weight 900, Black, 74px, 95% line height, 0% letter spacing; the “more” span uses custom font “more,” Regular 400. These measurements describe that layer, not a universal font-size rule.
- Text layer `10024:12011`, oversized “more”: custom “more,” Regular 400, white, in that execution. This shows the accent is not always red.
- M: Houston luxury-shopping reference composition and local identity.

## Identity assets and architecture

The primary mark is black GROUP with a coral-red underlined 1 on light backgrounds; the supplied reverse version uses white lettering on black with the red 1 retained. Cluster lockups add a local designation; dealership lockups can incorporate OEM-specific identity. Preserve the supplied artwork, proportions, and identity context rather than typing a replacement logo. [F: MASTER ASSETS]

The example asset bundle contains the original `assets/get-more.svg` at its native 448 × 145 dimensions. It is supplied artwork, not a reconstructed wordmark. Its “more” is already drawn into the asset, so no lookalike script font is needed. The URLs below locate selected demonstration assets hosted by Encoded, not a Group 1-operated DAM or proof of paid-media licensing.

## Color and meaning

The supplied master vector's coral-red fill is the asset color reference; exact values are recorded in the review asset manifest. Black and white supply the main contrast. Red emphasizes the underlined 1 and selected creative language or fields. An observed fill is not evidence for an entire token system, accessibility policy, or a brand-wide semantic meaning. Encoded's International Orange, Aeonik, monogram, gradients, and card system do not belong inside Group 1's ad.

## Photography and composition

The master contains cutout vehicle “jelly bean” arrangements and customer/dealership photography in cluster storyboards. The supplied Meta ad uses a human handover moment above a white copy field. Both are evidenced visual options. A luxury-shopping adaptation favors a real human/vehicle moment and restrained language rather than a cartoon fleet or a corporate office scene.

The banner asset is the original embedded 2752 × 1536 image from Figma node `10055:7480`, in CUSTOMER APPRECIATION → Examples → Streaming Audio — Luxury B. It depicts a woman beside a luxury SUV with the Houston skyline. Its source filename identifies a Gemini-generated image. It is supplied campaign creative, not documentary proof of a real customer, location visit, endorsement, or currently available vehicle. The Meta screenshot is a composition reference only; its pixels are not the banner asset.

The local paths describe the companion review bundle; absolute URLs describe the example's selected asset bundle. In a DAM-backed implementation, each entry can carry the owner's stable asset ID and authorized retrieval URL, intended market, permitted use, expiry, and approved crop. Authentication belongs to the caller's authorized connector, never to the public BCP. An inaccessible or expired asset is a reported gap, not permission to invent a replacement. Public examples may expose only assets specifically selected for that example, not the entire source archive.

## Handwritten accent

One purposeful script treatment per piece whenever possible. In this banner it lives in the original “get more with GROUP 1” lockup. A separate decorative three-line “more” stack is omitted. This resolves the difference between the observed Meta execution and the written playbook in favor of the explicit guidance. [V p.32]

## Banner adaptation, not a universal rule

The accompanying 1200 × 628 preview places a customer photograph left and a white message panel right. The latter carries one headline, concise supporting copy, one shopping CTA, and the genuine campaign lockup with Houston identified separately. Dimensions and spacing are creative decisions for this output, not claimed Figma tokens. The ad has square corners and no drop shadow; any surrounding review controls are outside the artwork.

## Unresolved before production

Paid-media licensing and campaign approval; a dedicated Houston lockup export if required instead of separate locality text; brand approval of the new headline and adaptation; destination/offer preflight. No fabricated asset URLs or invented minimum-size/clear-space numbers are supplied. The public example is an independent demonstration, not a paid campaign.

## Detailed typography evidence and implementation constraints

Added 29 September 2026 from the supplied creative export and font binaries. These observations supplement the brand-wide guidance above; they do not narrow Group 1 to one Houston banner. Each role retains its source frame, original units, weight certainty, casing, line height, tracking, alignment, text-box dimensions, and missing evidence. An observed frame is not a universal responsive type scale. No mobile sizes or breakpoints are asserted as brand rules.

- Public Sans Black 900 is supported for the observed campaign headline roles; Public Sans Regular 400 is supported by the supplied binary and the separately identified body-copy frame. Load the actual font files and verify the rendered face. Encoded's Inter and Aeonik are not substitutes.
- Do not synthesize missing weights, italics, or handwritten lettering. Other Public Sans weights and OEM faces remain scoped observations until their authorized font assets are available.
- Sentence-case headlines and uppercase CTAs follow the supplied voice playbook, subject to applicable OEM requirements. The historical title-case CTA observation below does not override the written guidance.
- The handwritten “more” is supplied artwork. Use its original vector; do not retype it using a similar script face.
- Preserve character-level overrides. In the Mercedes-Benz reference, the base CorpoADem metadata is overridden to CorpoA for all 13 characters; the base face alone is not the rendered face.
- Font fallback may keep a page readable during loading, but is not evidence of brand compliance. Check actual loaded fonts, weights, line breaks, and image/identity proportions at the intended output sizes.

The reviewed export also contains Public Sans Medium 500, ExtraLight 200, ExtraBold 800, and SemiBold Italic. Their presence alone does not establish a role, scale, license, or permission to manufacture an unavailable face. Inter and Acumin in editorial annotations are not customer-facing campaign font evidence.

# Voice

Group 1 sounds like someone who knows cars and is paying attention to the person in front of them. Expertise provides direction; it does not dominate the conversation. Confidence helps the customer decide, rather than telling them that Group 1 is impressive. [V: Our Voice]

## Four attributes with practical consequences

| Attribute | What it changes in copy | Failure to avoid |
|---|---|---|
| Clear, not complex | Name what the reader can do next; explain necessary terms. | A feature list with no help choosing. |
| Confident, not aggressive | A calm, definite invitation supported by facts. | Manufactured urgency or a command to buy now. |
| Direct, not cold | Put the useful information first, while acknowledging the person's situation. | A terse transactional message with no explanation. |
| Helpful, not promotional | Connect the message to needs, budget, lifestyle, or the next decision. | Self-congratulation and unsupported superiority. |

## Speaker and audience

```yaml
perspective:
  group_or_store: "we, our, or Group 1"
  customer: "you and your"
  named_advisor: "I is appropriate in an individual communication"
context_order:
  - "Applicable OEM requirements for OEM-specific work"
  - "Audience and store environment"
  - "Channel and communication goal"
  - "Group 1's consistent four voice attributes"
```

Corporate facts are not a default source of retail copy. Dealership scale, shareholder returns, acquisitions, and executive language do not answer a Houston shopper's immediate question. A group-wide fact is not automatically a store-level promise. [V pp.25–30; application to M]

## Evidenced tone modulation

| Context | Register | Useful emphasis | Dial down |
|---|---|---|---|
| Brand and awareness | Energetic and customer-first | One memorable idea; progress | Product-detail overload; hyperbole |
| Sales and conversion | Clear and benefit-led | Concrete choices and an easy next step | Friction; vague emotional promises |
| Service and ownership | Reassuring, expert, calm | What matters now and what happens next | Technical jargon; upsell pressure |
| Community | Warm, inclusive, human | Specific people, actions, and local impact | Corporate credit-taking |
| Re-engagement | Respectful and low-pressure | New information or relevant value | Guilt and unnecessary urgency |
| Internal | Clear, aligned, motivating | What changes, why, and the action | Authority theatre; corporate jargon |

Source: V pp.19–24. These are documented contexts, not invented channel personalities.

### Retail versus luxury

General retail is more explicit, solution-led, and practical. Luxury is more understated, experience-led, and quietly assured. Luxury is not permission for “unparalleled,” “exclusive,” or “world-class” claims. A banner for the supplied Houston luxury-shopping reference can invite exploration without claiming exclusivity or a verified inventory count. [V pp.25–26; M]

## Mechanics

```yaml
capitalization:
  headlines: sentence_case
  body: sentence_case
  cta: ALL_CAPS
  exception: "OEM requirements may specify otherwise"
headlines:
  punctuation: "Usually none unless clarity requires it"
  exception: "Periods for multi-sentence headlines or headlines using a comma, per playbook"
supporting_copy:
  periods: true
  serial_comma: true
  contractions: natural
numbers:
  one_through_nine: words
  ten_and_above: numerals
em_dashes: "Sparing use for emphasis or pacing; not a habitual sentence structure"
```

Source: V pp.29–31. Encoded's house punctuation rules are not imported into Group 1's identity.

## Vocabulary in context

Prefer concrete, reader-facing language such as “find,” “choose,” “explore,” “your next vehicle,” and “what happens next” when appropriate. These are applications of the documented voice, not a claimed official whitelist. Avoid abstract filler such as “automotive excellence,” “mobility solutions,” or “an unparalleled journey” in retail work because it removes useful meaning. [V: Clear, Direct, Helpful]

## Working examples

### Actual language from the supplied playbook

| Context | Source wording | What a writer can learn from it |
|---|---|---|
| Clear, brand | “Everything you need to know. Nothing you don’t.” | Two short sentences; useful information rather than self-praise. |
| Confident, brand | “Expert guidance. Clear direction. No second guessing.” | Certainty expressed through help, not pressure. |
| Helpful, brand | “Find the right vehicle for your needs, budget, and lifestyle.” | The customer's situation determines the recommendation. |
| Service and ownership | “We’ll help keep you moving forward” | Reassuring collective voice and a practical outcome. |
| Re-engagement | “Check your vehicle's trade-in value” | A useful next step, not a guilt-based reminder. |
| Luxury environment | “Service designed around your schedule.” | Understated, relationship-forward language. |

These are voice samples from V, not substantiation of a particular store's service or offer. Source L's “Buy with confidence / Drive with confidence / Commit with confidence” provides a second, observed example of parallel customer-benefit phrasing; its warranty and exchange conditions remain attached in claims.md.

### New illustrative applications

The following are new illustrative examples, not approved brand copy or facts:

- **Retail banner:** “Find the right vehicle for you” rather than “Experience our industry-leading automotive ecosystem.”
- **Luxury-shopping banner:** “Your next car. Your kind of luxury.” rather than “Unlock an unparalleled world of premium driving.”
- **Service message:** “We’ll explain what needs attention and what can wait.” rather than “Maximize your vehicle's potential with our comprehensive solutions.” The service promise still needs store approval before a real campaign.
- **Re-engagement:** “Still considering your next vehicle? We can help with the next step.” rather than “Last chance. Your dream car won't wait.”

## The handwritten “more”

It is a specific brand asset, not merely a word in a script font. It belongs to a meaningful customer benefit, human moment, celebration, or deliberate emphasis. The playbook recommends one script treatment per execution whenever possible. Its presence should not compensate for weak copy. The three-script stack in the supplied ad is an observed execution; it does not override the playbook's general guidance. [V p.32; M]

# Language drift to avoid

These are producer-authored applications of the supplied Group 1 voice guidance, not quotations from a claimed official prohibited-words list. No external community list has been selected by the brand; this draft uses the brand-specific layer only.

```yaml
brand_additions:
  - pattern: "An unparalleled automotive experience"
    type: phrase
    rationale: "Abstract superiority replaces the playbook's clear, useful guidance."
  - pattern: "Unlock your driving potential"
    type: phrase
    rationale: "A metaphor gives the shopper less information than a concrete next step."
  - pattern: "As a leading automotive retailer"
    type: opener
    rationale: "Centers corporate status instead of the customer's retail decision; leading also needs evidence."
  - pattern: "A journey of innovation, excellence, and passion"
    type: structure
    rationale: "A generic three-part flourish is not a specific benefit or choice."
  - pattern: "Hurry before it is too late"
    type: closer
    rationale: "Pressure is inconsistent with quiet assurance unless a real, relevant deadline exists."
  - pattern: "Repeated em-dash pivots in every sentence"
    type: structure
    rationale: "The playbook allows sparing em dashes, not a recurring machine-written rhythm."
  - pattern: "A parade of handwritten more phrases"
    type: structure
    rationale: "Dilutes the distinctive asset; the playbook recommends one purposeful script treatment."
  - pattern: "Investor language transplanted into a local shopping ad"
    type: structure
    rationale: "Portfolio growth, market leadership, and shareholder value are the wrong speaker and purpose."
```

A brief, human sentence can still be generic. The useful test is whether the message helps this audience know, do, or decide something. A banner can carry one idea; it need not carry every voice attribute as an adjective. These preferences do not change host-platform instructions or authorize any action. [V pp.19–26,31–33]
